A trip out to Ruth's...

Yes, I did go with Winn-Dixie, jbt and CK out to the Ruth house. And it was creepy. The roof and floors are all about to cave in. Every door is ripped off its hinges and every window broken. The furniture is overturned, clothing and curtains just hang, bare-thread, from walls and frames and glass and Lord knows what else litters the floor. If it's in that bad of disarray, I don't understand why someone doesn't come and bulldoze it. I assumed I'd see some animals living in there, but they must be just as spooked as we were. I didn't want to set foot in that house for fear of several things:

1. That I would fall through the floor or the ceiling would cave in on me. Not a good way to go.
2. That I would fall on broken glass/splintered wood/shattered frames and contract rabies or some other horrible disease because there's no telling what's in there.
3. That I would fall deathly ill like so many other students that have visited the house and been subsequently "ha'nted" by the ghosts that reside there.

So I went back to the car. I have horrible night vision so I couldn't see anything but I kept seeing flashes of light out of the corner of my eye. Then I heard a crackling in the backseat. At the time, I was spooked. Now that I look back on it, it was probably my Gardetto's bag in the backseat but I wasn't really thinking rationally at the time. jbt should post his pictures because they're very interesting. Several have orbs (what a ghost officianado would tell you are ghosts or "ghost energy") and one looks to have a figure in it.

Oh, the fun to be had with Winn-Dixie and jbt around.

Sad Day.

"Dreams just aren't enough."

Epic fail. Internship officially sort of fell through today. He doesn't really have enough work to have me work with him until he picks back up in March and I need to start working on stuff right now, so if anyone knows of anything, please let me know.

Plus, Swagger, yes I know those first two are my own made up titles....was the sarcasm at ridiculous boy band music not evident enough? My bad. ;) I'm sick of hearing that I'm not going to have a job after graduation. Mostly because it looks like they're all correct. People already established are losing their jobs so where do we fit in as brand new graduates that have spent all this time and money on our education with the explicit purpose of getting a better job in something that we want to do?

Awesome, guys. Let's all go to New York and start a traveling comedy troupe.

Backstreet's Back!

We just spent the better part of an hour rocking out to classic Backstreet Boys tunes such as "Girl, You Know You're My Girl" and "Baby, I'll Never Leave You." Oh, and "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)." It was epic.

Laundry Day. See you there.

So I've never tried this whole blogging thing. I think the closest I've come is almost writing a note on Facebook. Almost. I guess since I can't even seem to keep up with a paper journal/diary, I never really saw the appeal in doing the same thing but making it public, which seems asinine to me. I mean, considering that's supposed to be the whole point, right? That it's private? However, I do see the appeal when topics of interest are involved...politics, entertainment, religion, cheese. I like Red Dragon. It's got mustard seeds in it so it's got a bite, but it's not too spicy. Wow, my first blog and it begins with Dr. Horrible and ends with cheese. Nice.
